Former Ghana International James Kwesi Appiah to contest for GFA ExCO elections

Former Ghana Black Stars coach who is currently working for giant’s Asante Kotoko SC, James Kwesi Appiah is set to contest for an Executive Council position at Ghana Football Association (GFA), in the upcoming 2023 GFA elections.

According to a report filed by Opemsuo Radio, Manhyia has offered support to Kwesi Appiah to run for the elections on the ticket of Asante Kotoko SC. He is currently, the technical director for the Reds and a member of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) formed by His Royal Majesty Otumfou Osei Tutu II to steer the day-to-day activities of the club.

The former Ghana coach and Al Khartoum manager has the backing of Kotoko Life Patron, Otumfou Osei Tutu II to contest in the upcoming GFA elections.

Roadmap and Guidelines for the 2023 GFA elections has been made public with nomination already open for interested persons who are under the District Football Association, Regional Football Association, Ghana Football Association, Confederation of African Football and FIFA to pick forms and fill, considering they’re Ghanaian citizens. 

Former players also have the support of the GFA Regulations and rules, to do same.
