Ghana winger Fatawu Issahaku has expressed strong belief in the Black Stars’ chances at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, insisting the squad is fully committed and benefiting from the intense preparations ahead of the tournament.

The Leicester City player, who is part of Ghana’s squad for the global showpiece in North America, believes the atmosphere within the camp and the quality of work being done under the technical team have positioned the Black Stars well for the challenge ahead.

With Ghana set to face Panama, England and Croatia in Group L, expectations continue to build around the four-time African champions as they seek a return to the knockout stages for the first time since 2010.

Issahaku says the players are embracing the demands of camp and remain focused on delivering positive results for the nation.

“Looking at the team, I have so much confidence in the guys. Everyone is ready and the training we’re doing is helping,” he said.

The talented winger highlighted the physical and tactical benefits of the team’s preparations, stressing that the work being done behind the scenes will be crucial once the tournament gets underway.

“I think it’s going to make us fitter, improve us, and help the team move forward,” Issahaku added.
