Germany-born Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Gyamfi has officially joined Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen FC, marking a new chapter in his promising career after departing German outfit Schalke 04.

The 20-year-old signed a four-year deal with the Dons on Friday, June 6, with the club confirming his arrival through multiple posts across their social media platforms. The move is subject to international clearance and visa formalities, as stated in the official club announcement.

“Highly rated German youth international Emmanuel Gyamfi has signed for the Dons,” Aberdeen revealed on their official website.

“The versatile left-back joins on a four-year deal from Bundesliga 2 side FC Schalke 04 for an undisclosed fee.”

Gyamfi, who is of Ghanaian descent, is widely regarded as one of the standout products of Schalke’s esteemed youth academy, having risen through the ranks and earned recognition in Germany’s youth national teams.

In his first interview as a Dons player, Gyamfi expressed his excitement and readiness to begin his journey in Scottish football.
