Didi Dramani Urges Patience After Hearts’ Winless Run Continues With Holy Stars Draw
Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has called for patience as his side continues to search for consistency following another frustrating result in the Ghana Premier League.
The Phobians were held to a goalless draw by Basake Holy Stars FC at the University of Ghana Stadium, extending their winless streak to three matches.
Hearts had previously enjoyed a morale-boosting 1–0 victory over rivals Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash in Kumasi. However, their momentum has since stalled with a 2–1 defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars FC, followed by a goalless draw against Berekum Chelsea FC and the latest stalemate against Holy Stars.
The dropped points have denied Hearts the chance to significantly reduce the gap on league leaders Medeama SC, who have also struggled for form in recent weeks.
Reflecting on the match, Dramani admitted that his side still needs to sharpen their decision-making in the final third but insisted the result could have been worse.
“We still need to improve in our decision-making. I still think that it’s still work in progress,” he said.
“The game, we could have also lost the game, and so it is always better to have just a point rather than not having a point at all.”
Hearts currently sit third on the league table with 41 points, five behind Medeama at the top. With the title race intensifying, the Phobians will be eager to return to winning ways in their upcoming fixtures as they seek to remain firmly in contention.
