Didi Dramani Targets Crucial Victory as Hearts of Oak Prepare for Lions Test
Accra Hearts of Oak S.C. head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has expressed confidence in his side’s ability to secure a vital win despite acknowledging the challenge posed by Heart of Lions F.C. ahead of their Ghana Premier League showdown.
The Phobians are set to travel to Kpando for the Week 26 fixture on Friday, March 20, as they look to strengthen their position in the Ghana Premier League standings.
In his pre-match remarks, Dramani highlighted the strengths of their opponents, describing Heart of Lions as one of the most difficult teams in the division due to their organisation and intensity.
“Heart of Lions are one of the toughest opponents in the league. They are very compact, and they are very aggressive. They are a ball-playing side. And so, we need to really be strong in our second actions. We need to be very, very decisive in terms of closing up central spaces, and we need to be very, very intense in terms of our pressing situations,” Dramani told Hearts TV.
Despite the respect for the Kpando-based side, the Hearts of Oak boss insists his team will approach the game with a clear objective—securing all three points.
“And then we need to be very quick in getting out into spaces that we find, and I think that we acknowledge their strengths, but we are going to play to try as much as possible to come back with a very important result.”
The encounter is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 pm at the Kpando Sports Stadium, with both sides eager to claim maximum points in what promises to be a fiercely contested match.
