Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko has voiced his confidence in the team’s ability to secure a positive result when they face Heart of Lions in a crucial Ghana Premier League fixture on Wednesday, April 16.

The Tarkwa-based side will travel to the Kpando Sports Stadium to clear their outstanding Matchday 22 clash, with both teams eyeing vital points to boost their title hopes.

Speaking in a pre-match interview with Medi TV, Coach Tanko emphasized the team’s growing belief in their ability to perform on the road.

“We are going to do our best. There is no assurance in football, but we are definitely going there to take a point or to win,” Tanko said.

“I believe that the boys are now clear in their minds that we can also win away games. So definitely we are going there to come back with something.”

Medeama head into the fixture with renewed confidence following their emphatic 4-0 victory over Dreams FC last weekend. That win saw forward Kingsley Braye net a hat-trick and lifted the Mauve and Yellow into the top four of the league standings.

Heart of Lions, meanwhile, have remained formidable at home this season and will aim to protect their unbeaten record at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

Wednesday’s match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00pm and is expected to be fiercely contested, with the result likely to have major implications for the title race.

A win for either side will strengthen their push for the Ghana Premier League crown as the season heads into its final stretch.
