CAF Confirms Preliminary Round Draw Date for 2025/26 Inter-Club Competitions
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that the preliminary round draw for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup will be held on August 12, 2025, in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
In a statement released on Monday, the continental football governing body revealed that the first-leg fixtures for both prestigious competitions will take place between August 15 and 18, with the return legs scheduled from August 22 to 25, 2025.
Ghana will have two representatives in the continental inter-club tournaments this season. Bibiani Gold Stars, following their historic Ghana Premier League title triumph, will feature in the CAF Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko, who recently secured a record-extending 10th MTN FA Cup title, will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup, looking to restore their continental credentials.
Both clubs will aim to make a lasting impact on the African stage as they prepare to navigate the challenges of continental football in the 2025/26 campaign.
