The Black Queens have kicked off their training camp in Ismailia, Egypt, as they intensify preparations for the upcoming 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifier against Egypt.

The team held its first training session on Monday evening, with 18 players taking part under the supervision of Head Coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren and his backroom staff. The session, held under warm conditions, focused on light recovery work, ball circulation, and tactical coordination, helping players settle into the environment ahead of the decisive first-leg encounter.

More players are expected to join the camp in the coming hours to complete the full squad before the team’s final training session on Wednesday.

Ghana will square off against Egypt in the first leg of the qualifier on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ismailia–Suez Canal Stadium. The return leg is set for five days later at the Accra Sports Stadium, where the Black Queens will aim to finish the job and secure qualification for the continental showpiece.
