Chief Executive Officer of Ahenkan Football Academy, Odi Ahenka Kwame Yeboah, has welcomed the Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) pledge to invest more resources into domestic clubs but insists that timely delivery and transparency will be key to achieving the desired impact.

The GFA, during its 31st Ordinary Congress, announced a number of initiatives aimed at improving the standard of domestic competitions, including financial support packages for participating clubs.

Speaking on Adom TV’s Fire for Fire, Yeboah described the GFA’s commitments during its recent congress as a positive step towards strengthening the local game.

“The GFA’s promises for the leagues during the congress in context to investing money into the clubs is a good thing. It will have a positive impact on the league. However, the GFA should ensure that all the promises are fulfilled on time and also they should be transparent, he stressed.

The radio personality, however, cautioned that the credibility of such initiatives depends on consistent execution and open communication with stakeholders, adding that clubs will only benefit fully if the Association delivers on its commitments within the stipulated timelines.
