Ghana’s Ablorh Abdul Rahman has punched his way into the finals of the Boys Lightweight (60kg) boxing division at the ongoing 1st African School Games in Algeria after a gripping semifinal bout on Monday.
The talented young boxer showcased determination, technique, and fighting spirit to defeat Namibia’s Leukes Mac-Million in a closely contested 3-2 split decision victory. The bout, which was held in front of an energetic crowd, saw both fighters trade heavy punches, but it was Ghana’s Rahman who edged the scorecards to move one step closer to gold.
Rahman’s win marks a major highlight for Team Ghana on Day 3 of the multi-sport competition and keeps the nation’s medal hopes alive in the boxing discipline.
