The Egyptian League champions and Africa Club of the 20th Century, Al Ahly SC have secured the signing of Moroccan forward Reda Slim ahead of the start of 2023-24 CAF Champions League.

The 23-year old winger inked a four-year contract with the Red Devils worth US$2 million.

He joined from AS FAR Rabat where he had a splendid campaign last season, inspiring them with 11 goals and making 10 assists in 28 league games, including a last-minute winner on the final matchday that won FAR Rabat the league title.

Slim becomes Al Ahly’s third summer signing after deals for Emam Ashour from FC midtjylland and Smouha’s Khaled Abdelfattah.

He is also be the third-ever Moroccan to represent Al Ahly after Walid Azaro and Badr Benoun.

The winger started his career at the youth ranks of FAR Rabat and Raja Casablanca, before getting promoted to the first team by FAR Rabat in 2019.

He went on to make 115 appearances for FAR Rabat, scoring 32 goals and providing 26 assists, helping the club to the league title last season and the Morccan Cup in 2021.
