Abedi Pele Inspires Black Maidens Ahead of WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup

Ghanaian football legend Abedi Ayew ‘Pele’ made a special visit to the Black Maidens during their training session at the GFA Technical Center in Prampram, as they prepare for the upcoming WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup.

Abedi Pele, a three-time African Footballer of the Year, commended the young players for their hard work and discipline on the field.

“I am impressed with how well you are executing your coaches’ instructions on the pitch. Stay focused, disciplined, and diligent in your football journey,” he encouraged.

The football icon expressed his belief in the team’s potential to dominate the tournament, urging them to aim for victory.

“I am eagerly looking forward to seeing the Black Maidens dominate in the upcoming tournament, and I hope you win it,” he added.

The Black Maidens have been fine-tuning their preparations with a series of friendly matches. They recently showcased their strength with a 5-1 and 2-0 victory over Rootz Sistaz FC. Their next test is set against FC Epiphany Warriors on Friday, December 6, at Prampram.
