Abdul Fatawu Issahaku Completes Permanent Move to Ipswich Town
Newly promoted Premier League side Ipswich Town have strengthened their squad with the signing of Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku from Leicester City on a long-term contract.
The 22-year-old winger has committed his future to the Suffolk club by signing a five-year agreement that will keep him at Portman Road until the summer of 2031. Although the transfer fee has not been disclosed, the move represents another significant addition as Ipswich prepare for life back in England’s top flight.
Fatawu arrives after another productive campaign in English football and will head straight to Spain to join his new teammates at the club’s pre-season training camp in La Manga.
The Black Stars attacker was a key figure for Ghana during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring in all four matches, including the group-stage clash against England. He has accumulated 32 senior international appearances and scored three goals for his country.
