Aduana FC Sign Experienced Defender William Dankyi Ahead of 2025/26 Season
Ghana Premier League side Aduana FC have officially announced the signing of experienced defender William Dankyi ahead of the 2025/26 football season.
The seasoned left-back joins the Fire Boys from Bibiani Goldstars on a two-year deal, with an option to extend for an additional year.
Dankyi, a former Hearts of Oak star, played a key role in Goldstars’ historic 2024/25 title-winning campaign, helping the team dethrone defending champions FC Samartex 1996. His performances were instrumental in securing Goldstars’ first-ever Ghana Premier League title.
Announcing the signing, Aduana FC posted on X (formerly Twitter):
“Aduana FC is excited to announce the signing of dynamic left-back William Dankyi from Bibiani Goldstars SC. He joins the Fire Boys on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for one more season.”
Following a ninth-place finish last season, Aduana FC have embarked on a major squad overhaul in an effort to return to title contention. Dankyi’s arrival is part of a broader recruitment strategy spearheaded by the club’s technical team.
