2023-24 BetPawa Premier League: Berekum Chelsea FC beat Bibiani GoldStars SC to pick first win of the season

The Bibires recorded their first victory of the 2023-24 BetPawa league campaign following their narrow win over Bibiani GoldStars SC.

Berekum Chelsea sat at the Golden City Park to humble the Miner’s with a 1-0 defeat. Second half strike from former Asante Kotoko SC striker Stephen Amankona.

Despite, coach Michael Osei lads holding the host to a goalless draw in the first half failed to maintain their dominance and composure. Having failed to convert their 64th minute goal opportunity, saw it haunt them few minutes later.

Stephen Amankona scored from a spot kick to break the deadlock in the 74th minute and followed with a brace in the stoppage time ensuring Berekum Chelsea FC deny the visitors a point infront of their home fans.

Game ended 2-0 at the Berekum Golden City Park.

Chelsea will take on Karela United FC in their second leg game away in Aiyinase with GoldStars facing Asante Kotoko SC at the Dun’s park next week.
