Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante was on the scoresheet for West Brom over the weekend in the Sky Bet Championship.

West Brom picked a win in a six-goal thriller, with Thomas-Asante inspiring them to that 4-2 home triumph.

Brandon Thomas-Asante started the game at Elland Road and lasted 65 minutes.

Cideric Kipre broke the deadlock for the Baggies after Darnell Furlong’s long throw was deflected to his path. He smashed it with a volley in the 22nd minute.

Six minutes later, West Brom doubled their lead, after John Swift picked up a loose ball in the center of the pitch and weaved his way through the Boro midfield before blasting in a splendid shot into the top corner.

Emmanuel Latte Lath pulled one back for Middlesbrough with a minute to the half hour mark.

Nevertheless, they suffered a 2-1 defeat in the first half due to a defensive blunder. It was Brandon Thomas-Asante benefiting from the blunder to restore his sides two-goal lead in the 48th minute before getting subbed in the 65th minute.

Albion could not hold their backline firm, only to concede their second in the 85th minute, when the away side scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-2, thanks to Marcus Forss. Jeremy Sarmiento, however, scored in stoppage time to secure the win for West Brom.

Brandon Thomas-Asante’s West Brom will play Huddersfield Town in their next league game.
