2022-23 BetPawa Premier League: RTU takes on Hearts of Oak SC in opener today, Friday

The 2023-24 BetPawa Premier League is finally here, with Real Tamale United kicking it off with an epic clash against giant’s Accra Hearts of Oak SC today, Friday at the Aliu Mahama sports stadium.

The league opener is expected to light up for the remaining week one fixture as, all troop to the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium for Friday night football. RTU despite losing several players after the 2022-23 league season, will be hoping to hold tight their good records against the Phobians.

Since the return of Real Tamale United to the topflight league in the 2021/22 league, they are yet to lose a game against Hearts of Oak in four games, winning three and drawing one.

RTU have won one and drawn one at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium and are yet to lose a game against Hearts of Oak at home.

The host are without key players Stephen Badu Dankwa, Abdul Manaf Umar, Nurudeen Yussif Mohammed, Kwame Boakye, Roland Frimpong, Sadat Mohammed Mathew Abayase.

Forward Issah Kuka is also back to Hearts of Oak after serving the one season loan deal at RTU last season.

The Phobians will introduce their Dutch manager Martin Koopman to the Premier League as he will be in the dugout for the first time after joining the club last month. Hearts of Oak SC on players, missing for this game are; Robert Addo Sowah, Caleb Amankwah, Junior Kaaba, Yassan Oatching, and Gladson Awako.

Both teams having made recruitment’s to their set-up, will be aiming to rely on their new signings for the three points.

The game will be broadcast live on Startimes Adepa channel 247 on Friday September 15, 2023 at 6pm
