Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has voiced his frustration following his side’s 0-0 stalemate against archrivals Hearts of Oak in their latest Ghana Premier League encounter.

The Porcupine Warriors dominated possession and created the better chances throughout the highly anticipated clash but failed to find the back of the net, much to the dismay of their coach.

“We squandered too many chances. We should have won, but we weren’t clinical enough,” Zito said in his post-match reaction.

The cagey fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium saw Kotoko controlling the tempo for long spells, but their forwards were unable to make the most of their opportunities. Zito was adamant that his team outplayed their opponents in key areas.

“In terms of creativity, we were ahead of Hearts of Oak,” he insisted.

The result extended Kotoko’s unbeaten run to eight matches—two wins and six draws—but the mounting number of dropped points has placed them under pressure in the title race. The Porcupine Warriors currently sit fourth on the table, needing a strong finish to the season to keep their championship hopes alive.
