The former Ghana U23 captain featured in LAFC’s 2-1 victory over Mexican giants Club América, a result that ensured the Major League Soccer side became the final team to qualify for the expanded 2025 edition of the competition, which will be hosted in the United States.

The upcoming tournament marks a historic shift in the Club World Cup format, with the competition now featuring 32 teams from around the globe. Among them are European giants Real Madrid, five-time winners of the tournament, as well as domestic champions from every confederation.

Following the win, Yeboah took to social media to share his delight and anticipation.

“Proud to be part of this journey, LAFC. See you soon at the FIFA Club World Cup,” he wrote.

Yeboah, who joined LAFC at the beginning of the 2025 MLS season, is set to become the 12th Ghanaian player to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup. His inclusion is a milestone in what has been a steadily rising club career across Europe and North America.

The Ghanaian international and his teammates have been drawn in a challenging Group E, where they will face English Premier League powerhouse Chelsea, Brazilian giants Flamengo, and Tunisian heavyweights Esperance de Tunis.

The group stage promises high-intensity football, and LAFC will need to be at their best to progress in the competition. Yeboah’s experience and versatility in midfield are expected to play a crucial role in their campaign.
