Vision FC Confident of Stifling Hearts of Oak in Tactical Showdown
Vision FC are expressing strong confidence ahead of their weekend clash with Accra Hearts of Oak, insisting they have identified the key areas to shut down if they are to leave the University of Ghana Stadium with a positive result.
Both clubs go into Saturday’s fixture in need of momentum, having each won only once in their last five Ghana Premier League outings. The two sides are separated by four points on the table, with Vision FC sitting 10th on 14 points after 11 games.
Speaking in the build-up to the match, Vision FC assistant coach Burton Asare Wilson outlined his team’s assessment of the Phobians and the tactical plan designed to counter them.
“When you observe Accra Hearts of Oak very well, their strength is in their goalkeeper and the three men in the middle,” he stated.
He went on to explain that Vision have crafted a strategy aimed specifically at disrupting Hearts’ midfield structure.
“We have planned in such a way that we will counter the three in the middle, we would also make sure that we overload that space.
“We will make sure that we occupy the half spaces and do man-oriented pressing to actually neutralize them.”
With both clubs eager to revive form and climb the table, Saturday’s contest promises to be a tightly fought tactical battle. Vision FC believe they have deciphered Hearts’ blueprint — now they aim to prove it on the pitch.
