The Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee has officially charged three players of Nations FC—Rabin Ousmane Sanon, Kofi Mensah, and Emmanuel Annor—for various acts of misconduct during their Ghana Premier League Week 33 encounter against Basake Holy Stars.

The match, played at the Ampain A.A.K II Park, ended in controversy after Nations FC abandoned the game, leading to disciplinary sanctions and heightened scrutiny over the conduct of players and officials involved.

In a formal communication, the GFA revealed that the charges are in accordance with the GFA Disciplinary Code and the Ghana Premier League Regulations, both instituted in 2019 to uphold discipline and ensure fair play in domestic competitions.

According to the Committee’s findings, Rabin Ousmane Sanon and Kofi Mensah are accused of physically assaulting match officials during the chaos that followed the game’s disruption. Additionally, Kofi Mensah and Emmanuel Annor are alleged to have caused damage to key stadium infrastructure, including the tunnel and the gate leading to the dressing room.

The GFA emphasized that these actions, if proven, constitute serious breaches of conduct and threaten the integrity of the sport. The Disciplinary Committee’s swift action reflects the Association’s commitment to enforcing regulations and deterring future incidents of violence or disorder on and off the pitch.

As part of due process, all three players have been granted the opportunity to respond to the charges. They are required to submit written statements or appear before the Committee no later than Friday, June 13, 2025.
