Hohoe United Clinch Historic Promotion to Ghana Premier League
Hohoe United have earned a place in the Ghana Premier League for the first time in the club’s history following a commanding 3-1 victory over Inter Allies on the penultimate weekend of the 2024/25 Division One League Zone III season.
The win marked their fifth consecutive triumph, capping off a remarkable run of form and cementing their status as champions of Zone III with one game to spare. Their final fixture against Great Olympics will be a formality, as they have already sealed promotion.
This milestone represents a watershed moment for the Volta Region-based side, who only recently stepped onto the national football scene. The club was formed in 2023 after the acquisition of the Division One League slot formerly held by Liberty Professionals, a once-prominent club in Ghanaian football.
