Ghanaian international midfielder Thomas Partey has been granted conditional bail after appearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court to face five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

The 32-year-old was charged in relation to alleged incidents involving three women, which are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022, during his tenure with Arsenal Football Club.

At Tuesday’s hearing, the court imposed strict bail conditions on Partey. He is prohibited from contacting any of the three alleged victims and must inform police of any permanent change of address or any international travel plans.

Partey’s legal representative, Jenny Wiltshire, previously stated that the player “denies all the charges against him” and added that he “welcomes the opportunity to finally clear his name.”

The case is expected to continue through the UK legal system, with further proceedings anticipated in the coming weeks.

Thomas Partey joined Arsenal in 2020 from Atlético Madrid and recently completed a transfer to Villarreal CF, pending official confirmation.
