Tanko Targets Maximum Points as Medeama Prepare for Bechem United Test
Head coach of Medeama SC, Ibrahim Tanko, has declared his side’s readiness ahead of a crucial Ghana Premier League showdown against Bechem United this weekend.
With the title race intensifying, Medeama are determined to secure all three points away from home as they aim to maintain momentum at the top end of the Ghana Premier League table.
Tanko acknowledged the challenge posed by Bechem United but expressed confidence in his team’s level of preparation, particularly highlighting the importance of defensive discipline.
“We are going there to really fight for the points. I think, and we have to defend as a unit. And I don’t have a problem when we have the ball, but without the ball, I think we have to, I mean, really, defend as a unit, and then try to close the gaps,” he said.
The Medeama boss emphasized that his players must remain compact and organized, especially when out of possession, to limit the threat from their opponents.
“We have to be able to stop them… I think we are ready for that. And looking at the training we did this weekend, I mean, we have prepared for every situation,” he added.
The Week 28 fixture is scheduled for Sunday, April 4, at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park, with kickoff set for 3 pm.
As the league enters a decisive phase, Medeama will be aiming to translate their preparations i
