Steven Amankona Confident of Positive Result Against Hearts of Oak
Berekum Chelsea forward Steven Amankona has expressed optimism about his team’s chances of securing a favorable outcome against Hearts of Oak in their matchday 14 clash of the Ghana Premier League.
The fixture, scheduled for Friday evening at the University of Ghana Stadium, pits the eighth-placed Bibires against the seventh-placed Phobians in a highly anticipated encounter.
Amankona, a former Asante Kotoko forward, will play a key role for Berekum Chelsea as they aim to cause an upset in Accra. Reflecting on his team’s preparations, he assured fans of their readiness to battle for points.
“Just as we did against Nations FC, we’ll grind out a result against Hearts of Oak on Friday. It’s a 50-50 game, but we won’t return home with a defeat. I urge our fans to pray for the team,” Amankona stated.
Berekum Chelsea head into the match following a goalless draw against Aduana Stars in their previous game. Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak will be looking to recover from their narrow 1-0 defeat to archrivals Asante Kotoko last weekend.
Hearts of Oak will aim to capitalize on their home support, while Berekum Chelsea seeks to maintain their unbeaten streak and climb higher in the standings.
