Solomon Agbasi Set to Join Hearts of Oak Ahead of 2025/26 Season
Goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi has confirmed that he is close to completing a move to Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak, revealing that a verbal agreement has already been reached between both parties.
The former Dreams FC shot-stopper is expected to join the Phobians ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season, as the club continues efforts to bolster its squad under new leadership.
“We have agreed a deal verbally and I will finalize my move to Hearts of Oak soon,” Agbasi said in an interview with journalist Shaban Mohammed.
The 24-year-old goalkeeper missed the entire 2024/25 campaign due to injury but is now poised to make a competitive return. Once the deal is finalized, Agbasi will battle Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare for the starting spot between the posts at the Accra-based club.
Hearts of Oak, currently undergoing a significant rebuild under newly appointed head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, have yet to officially announce the transfer. However, Agbasi’s expected arrival signals the club’s intent to reinforce key areas as they aim for a strong showing in the upcoming season.
