Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo has hailed his team’s resilience and determination following their thrilling 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The 25-year-old Ghanaian international played a key role in the Cherries’ comeback, scoring one of the two goals that earned his side a vital point.

Semenyo’s goal against Chelsea marked an impressive milestone as he became Bournemouth’s sixth all-time top scorer in the Premier League, netting his 15th goal for the club.

His performance further cemented his status as a key player for the Cherries this season.

Speaking in a post-match interview with TNT Sports, Semenyo reflected on the team’s efforts, particularly their improvement in the second half after a difficult start to the game.

“We defended for our lives at times, and I feel that we should have got three points,” Semenyo said. “At half-time, the manager wasn’t happy! He livened us up; we needed to get our press right, and we did that from the get-go in the second half.”

Semenyo credited the team’s fighting spirit and unity for their ability to recover and secure a draw.

“That resilience and determination is how we’ve got our points this season. We all work for each other, and that’s what we’re about: we’re resilient. I think we should have gotten something from the home game against Chelsea, and we could’ve gotten three points here, but we take the point and move on to the next one.”
