Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, president of Elmina Sharks, has been fined GHS10,000 and handed a suspended three-month ban by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee for misconduct during his club’s match against Swedru All Blacks United FC.

The GFA found Dr. Nduom guilty of interfering in the match, inciting players against match officials, and making inflammatory social media posts that encouraged hostility toward referees.

According to reports, he entered the team’s technical area without authorization and was seen confronting match officials in frustration over a decision that went against his team.

His post-match comments online further escalated tensions, as he publicly criticized the officiating in a manner that the committee deemed provocative.

In addition to the fine, Dr. Nduom has been warned that any future offenses will lead to more severe consequences, including a potential stadium ban.

Elmina Sharks have also been instructed to educate their management and staff on the importance of respecting referees and upholding the integrity of the game. Dr. Nduom has seven days to appeal the ruling if he chooses to contest the decision.
