Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has placed his trust in experienced duo Thomas Partey and Jordan Ayew to guide Ghana to victory in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar.

Ghana will first take on Chad on Friday, March 21, at the Accra Sports Stadium before traveling to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24. With qualification on the line, Addo is counting on his senior players to step up.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Thursday, Addo highlighted the importance of Partey and Ayew in his squad, emphasizing their leadership and ability to influence the game.

“Thomas Partey and Jordan Ayew are good players in our squad. They know their roles, and they have to lead our team,” Addo stated. “We have spoken a lot, and both are very ready. So I’m looking forward to them combining and leading the team.”

The Black Stars, currently tied at the top of Group I with Comoros on nine points, are under pressure to secure maximum points from both matches to strengthen their bid for a World Cup spot.

Kickoff for the Ghana vs. Chad encounter is set for 7:00 PM at the Accra Sports Stadium.
