Ogum Credits Team Cohesion and Tactical Discipline for Kotoko’s Success

Asante Kotoko head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has attributed his team’s impressive form to their strict adherence to tactical instructions and teamwork.

Asante Kotoko are currently 5th on the Ghana Premier League log with 28 points after 16 games. They are also next to the next round of the FA Cup after defeating Acceler8z FC in the MTN FA Cup Round of 32.

“It’s about players adhering to tactical instructions at every point in time at training and transferring those instructions into the game. Football is a team sport, and once there is an element of communication, cooperation, and coordination, normally it’s very easy for the players to play together,” Coach Ogum remarked.

The Kotoko gaffer further emphasized that these elements, combined with other undisclosed strategies, have been key to their success.

“I think we are getting these three things working well for us in addition to other things we have been doing that I can’t disclose to the public because that’s our weapon,” he added with a smile.

As Kotoko prepares for their next encounter against Vision FC on Sunday, January 19, fans will be hoping for another stellar performance to maintain their strong form in the league.
