Nations FC Confirm Appointment of Frimpong Manso as New Head Coach
Nations FC have confirmed the appointment of Samuel Frimpong Manso as their new head coach, just days after parting ways with Kassim Ocansey Mingle and his assistant Johnson Smith.
The club made the announcement in an official statement posted on their Facebook page, stating:
“OFFICIAL. We are delighted to announce the appointment of Frimpong Manso as Head Coach and Aboagye Dacosta as his Assistant.”
Frimpong Manso, who recently left Bibiani GoldStars, steps into the Nations FC dugout just weeks after being dismissed by the Miners for a poor run of form. Despite his exit, Manso boasts an impressive record, having guided GoldStars to their first-ever Ghana Premier League title last season — a feat that secured them a historic qualification to the CAF Champions League.
However, his tenure with the club ended abruptly following GoldStars’ elimination at the hands of JS Kabylie in the continental competition.
Now returning to the Premier League stage, Manso is expected to inject new energy into the Nations FC setup as they aim to climb up the league table. He will be assisted by Aboagye Dacosta, with their immediate assignment being a crucial Matchweek 8 fixture against Bechem United this weekend.
The appointment marks a fresh chapter for Nations FC, who will be hoping Manso’s experience and leadership can stabilize the team’s performance and reignite their campaign.
