Otto Addo has acknowledged the growing scrutiny surrounding his role but insists he remains unfazed, stressing that his priority is delivering results for the Black Stars.

The Ghana head coach has faced mounting criticism following inconsistent performances, a situation that intensified after the team’s heavy defeat to Austria in their recent international friendly.

Despite calls for his dismissal, Addo made it clear that pressure is nothing new to him and does not influence his approach.

“Even when we qualified for the World Cup, people were calling for me to step down. So, [my job] is always under threat, but I don’t really care,” he said.

The former Borussia Dortmund assistant coach emphasized that his focus remains firmly on preparing the team and improving performances on the pitch.

“For me, the most important thing is that I prepare my best for the team to the best,” he added.

Attention now shifts to Ghana’s next test against Germany in Stuttgart, where the Black Stars will be aiming to bounce back and restore confidence.

The encounter, scheduled for 18:45 GMT, is part of Ghana’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Addo hoping his players can respond positively and silence critics with an improved display.
