Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has pledged to help West Ham United return stronger next season, following a difficult 2024/25 Premier League campaign that has seen the club flirting with relegation.

The Hammers, who reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League just a year ago, have struggled for consistency this term and currently sit just above the drop zone.

Kudus, who joined the East London side from Ajax last summer, has also endured a dip in form, managing only four Premier League goals—half of what he netted during the previous campaign.

Despite the setbacks, the 24-year-old remains optimistic and is already looking ahead to the 2025/26 season with renewed determination.

“100%, that should be the focus and that should be the standard every season,” Kudus said when asked if the team could bounce back next year.

“Like I said, we take a lot of lessons from these down times. Every setback, for me personally, I see it as an opportunity to grow and focus on what is ahead,” he added in an interview with Sky Sports.

With West Ham set to face Manchester United—Europa League finalists—at Old Trafford this weekend, Kudus and his teammates will aim to finish the season on a high note.

The Ghana international’s future at West Ham remains uncertain, with several top European clubs reportedly monitoring his situation. However, Kudus appears fully focused on helping the Hammers close out the season and prepare for a resurgence.

As West Ham continues to grapple with underwhelming performances, Kudus’ leadership and commitment could be crucial to their rebuilding process.
