Former Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe has shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, emphasizing the intriguing battle between Kotoko’s in-form striker Albert Amoah and Hearts’ goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.

The two most successful teams in Ghana will lock horns in a Ghana Premier League fixture at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday, 15th December 2024.

Speaking to nkrataasem.com ahead of the match, Bekoe highlighted the individual brilliance of both players and the impact their duel could have on the outcome of the game.

“Looking at the current form of the Kotoko striker (Albert Amoah) and the Phobia goalkeeper (Benjamin Asare), who has more clean sheets, it’s going to be a supremacy affair,” Bekoe said.

He elaborated on the stakes for both players, underscoring the intense competition and determination expected on the field.

“The striker would do all he can to score, and the goalkeeper too will try avoiding him from scoring. It’s going to be an end-to-end ecstasy,” he added.

Bekoe, a star of Kotoko played for the Porcupines in the 2007/2008 season; scoring 17 goals in 23 games. He also became the “Goal King” (top scorer) of the One Touch Premier League and League Champion with Kotoko that season.

Asante Kotoko are seventh on the table with 18 points while Hearts of Oak are sixth with 19 points.
