Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has opened up about his motivations for joining Tottenham Hotspur after completing a high-profile switch from West Ham United.

The 24-year-old finalized his £55 million transfer to the North London outfit on Thursday, signing a six-year contract with the reigning UEFA Europa League champions. Kudus’ move to Spurs comes after a competitive chase that saw interest from Chelsea and clubs in the Saudi Pro League.

Speaking to Tottenham’s official website, Kudus revealed that the club’s long-term project, under the leadership of head coach Thomas Frank, was a decisive factor in his choice.

“One of the most important parts of why I came here is the project and how the manager sees it, and to develop under him,” Kudus said.

“With the history of where he’s come from, I’ve seen the amount of talent he’s developed to become great players.

“It’s a big sign of why I wanted to work under him as well,” he added.

Kudus will wear the No. 20 shirt at Tottenham as he embarks on the next chapter of his career in the Premier League.
