Medeama Sporting Club have officially announced the departure of midfielder Michael Enu, confirming that both parties have agreed to terminate his contract by mutual consent.

The announcement was made on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, and brings an end to the 26-year-old’s brief but eventful spell with the Tarkwa-based side.

Enu joined Medeama SC in December 2023 following an impressive run with Bibiani Gold Stars. His arrival was heralded as a significant midfield reinforcement, and he initially lived up to expectations with strong, composed performances that brought stability to Medeama’s midfield setup.

However, his influence gradually waned during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, as competition for places intensified and he struggled for regular minutes under the current technical team. With a year still left on his contract, both club and player have now opted for an early exit.

“Medeama SC and midfielder Michael Enu have mutually agreed to part ways. We thank Enu,” the club posted in a brief official statement on their social media platforms.

Now a free agent, Enu is expected to attract interest from clubs looking to bolster their midfield with an experienced and technically gifted player.

His departure marks the latest in a series of changes at Medeama as the club reshapes its squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign. Despite a relatively short stay in Tarkwa, Enu’s contribution — especially during the transitional phase in early 2024 — is appreciated by fans and officials alike.
