Ghana U20 midfielder Lord Afrifa says the Black Satellites are prepared for their final group game against the Central African Republic at the ongoing 2025 TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Afrifa, who has impressed at the tournament with commanding performances in midfield, was instrumental in Ghana’s recent 2-1 victory over defending champions Senegal on Monday.

The win boosted Ghana to second place in Group C and revived hopes of finishing top of the group.

Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter scheduled for Thursday, Afrifa expressed confidence in his team’s readiness for the challenge.

“Tomorrow’s game will be tough. CAR are good, but we’re ready,” the Sturm Graz midfielder told the GFA media team. “The teams in this tournament have shown quality, but Ghana is ready for any challenge.”

The Black Satellites need at least a draw to secure qualification to the knockout stages, but a win could see them finish as Group C winners depending on the result between Senegal and DR Congo.

With morale high and momentum building, Ghana will aim to deliver another strong performance when they take on Central African Republic on Thursday.
