Let’s have faith in Otto Addo – Ibrahim Tanko

Former Ghanaian international, Ibrahim Tanko believes that the focus on the Black Stars should be on stability and continuity rather than making a hasty decision to replace Addo.

The Black Stars of Ghana have failed to qualify for the AFCON 2025 for the first time in 20 years with a lot of Ghanaians calling for the sack of Otto Addo.

Tanko shared his perspective on the situation, emphasizing the need to give Addo the chance to prove himself rather than rushing to sack him.

“Otto Addo’s return was always going to come with pressure. I don’t believe we should sack him; instead, we need to give him a chance.” He said.

Tanko also questioned the wisdom of changing coaches at such a critical time.

“With the World Cup qualifiers coming up, should we really be bringing in a new coach?” he asked, pointing out the potential disruption such a change could bring to the team’s preparations and cohesion.
