Kwadwo Obeng Junior throws subtle jab at Hearts of Oak
Heart of Lions forward, Kwadwo Obeng Junior has taken a subtle swipe at his former club Hearts of Oak after an impressive performance against Asante Kotoko.
The former Hearts of Oak forward, Kwadwo Obeng Junior scored the lone goal against at the Porcupine Warriors in Obuasi on Sunday. His goal came in the 28th minute after Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara poorly cleared a ball in the way of the winger.
His goal and his performance earned him the Man of the Match accolade after the game.
Speaking after the win, the forward dedicated his MOTM award to the bank roller of the club, Dr. Randy Abbey and thanked him for believing in him when his former club rejected him.
“I thank the management of Heart of Lions and dedicate my award to Dr. Randy Abbey. When I was rejected by some people, he saw the good in me and gave me a chance in their team.” He said.
He also stated that, coach Bashiru Hayford has “improved” him generally as a player.
The goal is Obeng Junior’s first goal of the season which ascends his outfit to the sixth position on the league table with 14 points.
