President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, has described the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign as the most exciting and competitive in recent history.

Speaking exclusively with Kobby Stonne, the GFA President expressed delight at the high level of football, organization, and intensity displayed across the league so far, emphasizing that the general outlook points to significant progress in Ghana’s domestic football.

“Overall, the outlook and quality of play shows we are in the best season ever for our Ghana Premier League,” Okraku stated.

He also revealed his excitement ahead of the highly anticipated Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko, admitting that his allegiance is often divided between the two iconic clubs.

“I’m looking forward to the Super Clash already and I don’t even know who to support. I was born into Hearts of Oak but my best periods have been with Kumasi Asante Kotoko,” he said with a smile.

Despite his personal history with both clubs, Okraku reaffirmed his neutral stance as GFA President, stressing that his priority is to see all clubs thrive and the league continue to grow.

“However, as the President of the FA, I support all clubs and hope our league will continue to improve,” he added.
