Head coach of Asante Kotoko, Abdul Karim Zito, has reiterated his belief that the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title race is not over yet, insisting his team remains in the hunt with two matches to go.

The Porcupine Warriors played out a goalless draw with Bibiani Gold Stars in a tense Week 32 encounter on Sunday, a result that dented both teams’ ambitions of claiming the title. Despite the missed opportunity to close the gap on the leaders, Zito remains hopeful.

Speaking in his post-match interview, the experienced tactician made it clear that he has not thrown in the towel and will continue to fight until the final whistle of the season.

“Anything can happen. When it is over then I give up. But when it is not over, I cannot give up,” Coach Karim Zito stated.

Kotoko currently sit third on the league table with 55 points, trailing league leaders Nations FC by five points. With two fixtures remaining, Kotoko must win both of their matches and hope Nations FC lose theirs to stand a chance of reclaiming the Ghana Premier League title.

The draw in Bibiani was another missed opportunity, but Zito insists that belief and determination will carry the team through the final stretch of the campaign.

The Porcupine Warriors are now preparing for a crucial home clash in Week 33, as they seek to maintain pressure on the league leaders in a title race that promises a dramatic conclusion.
