Karela Win a Major Confidence Boost Against Hearts of Oak- Seth Kwadwo
Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Seth Kwadwo says the team’s thrilling 4-2 victory over Karela United has lifted their spirits ahead of the much-anticipated Super Clash against archrivals Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, November 9, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors put up an impressive display at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, bouncing back strongly from their CAF Confederation Cup exit to Morocco’s Wydad Athletic Club.
The win ensured Kotoko maintained their unbeaten run in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, setting the stage for a fiery contest against Hearts.
Midfielder Seth Kwadwo, who was named Man of the Match, played a key role in the victory — heading home Kotoko’s third goal from a well-delivered cross to give his side a commanding 3-1 first-half lead.
Reflecting on the team’s performance, the former Bechem United star expressed confidence that the result will serve as a major morale boost ahead of the crucial rivalry fixture.
“It’s a massive win and it will boost our morale… and this win will motivate us going into the Super Clash,” Seth Kwadwo said.
The midfielder also praised his teammates for their collective effort, noting that the team’s chemistry and determination were beginning to yield results.
The upcoming clash between Kotoko and Hearts of Oak promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the season, with both sides eyeing early dominance in the league campaign.
