Jordan Ayew Pledges Black Stars’ Commitment to Making Ghana Proud
Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew has reaffirmed the team’s determination to bring pride to Ghana, following their recent victories in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana secured back-to-back wins against Chad and Madagascar, boosting their chances of securing a spot in the upcoming World Cup. After the matches, Ayew issued a statement assuring Ghanaians of the team’s unwavering commitment.
Reflecting on Ghana’s recent struggles in the AFCON qualifiers, Ayew acknowledged the team’s setbacks but emphasized their resolve to bounce back stronger.
“We’ll do everything in our power to make Ghana proud and bring joy to your hearts,” he assured.

Despite past disappointments, Ayew stressed that the Black Stars remain focused on their ultimate goal—securing a place at the 2026 World Cup.
“We’re not giving up! We’re focused on the task ahead, and we’re confident that together, we can achieve our goal,” he stated.
With Ghana currently leading their group, the team is in a strong position to qualify, and Ayew’s leadership will be crucial as they prepare for the next round of fixtures in September.
