Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Zubairu has expressed heartfelt gratitude to supporters of Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade after sustaining an ankle injury that will rule him out for the remainder of the season.

The 21-year-old, who has been a standout performer for Partizan since joining last summer, suffered the injury during the Serbian Superliga clash against Radnicki over the weekend. Zubairu was forced off after just 35 minutes and replaced by Joh Youngjun.

Following the incident, the former Ghana U20 star underwent successful ankle surgery and has since shared a message of thanks and optimism with fans.

“Hello, Grobari! Thank you for your messages and support. The surgery was successful, I’m feeling good now, and I’ll come back stronger than ever! Love you all!” Zubairu wrote in a post.

Zubairu has enjoyed an impressive debut season with Partizan, netting 9 goals and providing 3 assists in 26 appearances across all competitions. His consistent performances have made him a fan favourite at the club and one of the league’s standout attacking talents.

His absence will be a blow for the Serbian outfit in the final stretch of the season, but the club and fans will be hoping for a swift and full recovery as he eyes a strong return next term.
