“I don’t want to blame any player” – Aboubakar Outtara on narrow defeat to Kotoko
Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has commended Asante Kotoko following his side’s narrow 1-0 defeat in the Super Clash at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday.
Speaking to the press after the match, Ouattara highlighted the even nature of the contest while attributing the result to a single error from his team.
“We lost 1-0, and I congratulate Kotoko,” he said. “The team that had the good luck scored the goal.”
Ouattara admitted that a lapse in concentration by his side led to the decisive moment of the game but refrained from singling out any player for criticism.
“We made one mistake which cost the goal, and I don’t want to blame any player here,” the Hearts coach stated, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility.
Kotoko have now moved up on the league log to the 6th position with 21 points while Hearts of Oak descended to the 7th position with 19 points.
