Hohoe United Hit with Three-Match Home Ban and GHS 30,000 Fine
Hohoe United FC have been handed disciplinary sanctions by the Ghana Football Association following misconduct during their Ghana Premier League clash against Vision FC.
The decision was issued by the GFA Disciplinary Committee after reviewing incidents that occurred during the match. The committee found Hohoe United responsible for several breaches of league regulations, including failing to guarantee the safety of match officials and allowing unauthorized persons to enter restricted zones.
Supporter behaviour also formed part of the ruling, with reports indicating that fans threw objects onto the pitch during the game—actions the committee described as a serious violation of competition rules.
As punishment, the club has been fined GHS 30,000 and banned from playing their next three home matches at their usual venue. The sanction takes immediate effect, forcing Hohoe United to stage their upcoming home fixtures at alternative grounds.
The club has been given fourteen days from the date of notification to pay the fine imposed by the disciplinary body.
In addition to the sanctions, the GFA has issued a stern warning to Hohoe United, cautioning that any repeat of such misconduct could result in even harsher disciplinary measures in the future.
The ruling forms part of the association’s continued efforts to enforce discipline and uphold safety standards across matches in the Ghana Premier League.
