Henry Wellington Blames Goal Scoring Woes After Samartex Draw with Dreams FC
Assistant coach of FC Samartex 1996, Henry Wellington, has pointed to his team’s lack of goals as the biggest concern following their stalemate with Dreams FC in the Ghana Premier League.
The Timber Giants were unable to secure maximum points after being held to a goalless draw in their Matchday 25 fixture played at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena on Saturday.
Samartex entered the game hoping to snap a recent winless run, but despite their efforts throughout the contest, they could not find a way past a disciplined Dreams FC side that remained solid at the back.
After the match, Wellington admitted that converting chances has been a persistent issue for the team since the start of the season.
“Goalscoring has been our problem since the start of the season. We will continue to work to find a solution to it,” he told the media.
Although Samartex failed to secure the victory they were seeking, the result ensured they maintained their strong unbeaten record at home this season at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.
For Dreams FC, the draw adds another positive result to their recent run and provides a valuable point as they continue their fight to move further away from the relegation zone in the closing weeks of the campaign.
