Hearts of Oak Coach Ouattara Sets Sights on Strong League Finish
Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has laid down a clear message to his players and fans, stressing the importance of finishing the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season on a high note.
Hearts of Oak are currently sixth on the Ghana Premier League log with 54 points and have won just a game in four.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on Sportsnite on Asempa FM, the Ivorian tactician reaffirmed the Phobians’ commitment to pushing for the title despite a challenging campaign that has seen them struggle with inconsistency.
“We’re taking each game seriously. Our goal is to win all remaining matches and finish strong,” Ouattara declared, showing belief in his team’s potential to stage a late-season charge.
With four games to go, Ouattara believes the Phobians still have a realistic shot at the title but insists that anything short of ultimate success must lead to serious introspection.
“If we don’t win the league, we must reflect deeply and ask: What went wrong?” he said.
Under Ouattara poor form and missed opportunities in front of goal have hampered their consistency throughout the season.
Hearts of Oak will clash with Berekum Chelsea this weekend at the Golden City Park for week 31 of the Ghana Premier League.
