Accra Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara says his side is fully motivated to end the season on a high note as they prepare to face FC Samartex in the final game of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.

With just one match remaining in the season, the Phobians are targeting a top-four finish, and Ouattara believes a win on Sunday could be crucial in achieving that objective.

Speaking ahead of the much-anticipated clash, the Hearts of Oak boss acknowledged the strength of their opponents but expressed confidence in his team’s readiness.

“We have prepared well for the last game of the season, although there are some injuries. We are motivated because we want to win to try and get into the top four,” Coach Aboubakar Ouattara said.

Ouattara also admitted that the task won’t be easy, especially against Samartex, who have already been crowned league champions.

“That motivation is very high. We know the team coming is the defending champion. It won’t be easy for us because they are playing well,” he added.

The final league match between Hearts of Oak and FC Samartex is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, with kick-off set for 3:00 PM.

Samartex, who clinched their maiden Ghana Premier League title with games to spare, will be looking to end their campaign in style, while Hearts of Oak will be fighting to cement a place among the top four after a season of mixed results.
