The GTech Community Stadium in West London, home to English Premier League side Brentford FC, has been officially confirmed as the venue for the highly anticipated 2025 Unity Cup tournament.

Scheduled to take place in May, the tournament will bring together footballing heavyweights from Africa and the Caribbean—Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago—for a thrilling four-team showdown in the UK capital.

Branded as “The Best in the West – The Afro Classico Contest,” the Unity Cup will showcase two regional derbies in the semi-final stage, setting the tone for an exciting week of international football.

On Tuesday, May 27, Caribbean neighbours Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica will battle in a first-ever UK-based “TriniJam” derby, promising a blend of flair and passion that characterizes Caribbean football.

Then on Wednesday, May 28, African powerhouses Ghana and Nigeria will face off in a highly charged West African rivalry. With both sides boasting rich footballing histories and passionate fan bases in London, this fixture is expected to be a crowd-puller.

The tournament will culminate on Saturday, May 31, with a double-header—first, a third-place playoff match, followed by the grand final to crown the 2025 Unity Cup champions.

The Unity Cup is not only a celebration of football talent but also a cultural festival that reflects the deep ties between African and Caribbean communities in the diaspora. Organizers expect a vibrant turnout at the 17,000-capacity stadium, with music, food, and entertainment also set to feature.
